When I was one year old, my parents and I moved to San Andrés, located in the lower area of Belén where my grandparents live on behalf of my father and where we live to this day. The advantage of living in Belén is that the market is closer, where you can find fresh traditional products that arrive at the port of Belén, that is why it is more accessible for those who live nearby, not to mention, the low prices found in these products .
One of the most obvious disadvantages is seasonal flooding; This makes it difficult for many families to carry out their daily tasks, since some do not have river transportation. But for other people this is beneficial, since they can offer their river transport service, in addtion to increasing the sale of fish in these seasons.
